Schenectady, N.Y. – Discover Schenectady is excited to announce the return of the US Tennis Association’s (USTA) Eastern Section Championship Tournaments to Schenectady’s Central Park.
Beginning this weekend, Schenectady County will welcome hundreds of top amateur tennis players from throughout New York State, Northern and Central New Jersey, and Southern Connecticut. Men and women players will compete in age brackets of 18 & over, 40 & over, 55 & over, and 65 & over. The tournaments are open to the public and free for spectators. Food vendors will also be on hand. Tournament dates are August 5 – 7, August 12 – 14, August 19 – 21, September 9 – 11 and September 16 – 18.
