(Schenectady, NY, February 27, 2020) – Restaurants in Downtown Schenectady and nearby Schenectady County locations will be in the culinary spotlight during the 15th annual Schenectady Restaurant Week, taking place March 2-8, 2020. Throughout the week, 22 restaurants will offer special fixed-price menus for $25, featuring a widely varied selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Schenectady Restaurant Week is a joint promotion of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corp. (DSIC) and the Capital Region Chamber, with promotional support from Discover Schenectady.
Jim Salengo, Executive Director of the DSIC, said, “The list of participating restaurants and their creative menus reflect Schenectady’s growing reputation as a must-visit regional destination for outstanding dining. Schenectady Restaurant Week provides the perfect mid-winter motivation to try a restaurant for the first time or enjoy a night on the town at a longtime favorite.”
Mark Eagan, President and CEO of the Capital Region Chamber, said, “For the 15th straight year, Schenectady Restaurant Week is giving businesses a welcome influx of visitors and revenue during a traditionally slower season. In 2019, Schenectady Restaurant Week had an economic impact of approximately $516,000. We are confident that the community will come out in force again this year to support our exceptional local dining establishments.”
