I have my ticket confirmation – where do I pick up my ballot?
Bring your ticket confirmation to the Proctors Box Office on Saturday morning before the 2026 Wing Walk begins to pick up your ballot for the day.
What time should I arrive?
The Proctors Box Office will open for ticket pickup at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Be prepared to show your ticket confirmation and ID in order to receive your ballot for the event.
Can I buy more tickets when I arrive?
Sorry, the 2026 Wing Walk are all presales.
Can I just purchase the wings individually at each restaurant if I don’t have a ballot?
Sorry, each restaurant is preparing wings for the number of tickets sold for this event. However, many of these businesses will be having other specials throughout the day. Feel free to grab a bite or a beverage to enjoy the day downtown and be part of the fun!
I ordered the “Premium Package” – what does that mean?
Bonus items for you! We will have a t-shirt in your pre-selected size and premium ballot (including your bonus bite) at the DSIC table right NEXT to the Box Office counter at Proctors. Please feel free to skip the check-in line and come straight to our table for your shirt and ballot. Please note, premium tickets do not give you permission to skip lines at any restaurant.
I didn’t get the premium package – Can I still get a t-shirt?
Yes! We will have a limited number of 2025 Wing Walk t-shirts available for sale. Look for our table at Proctors next to the box office when you arrive to pick up your ballot.
Will I be able to get these wings anytime during the day?
The Wing Walk goes from 10:30am-3:30pm. This starts a half hour earlier than last year’s event. Some early customers may have received a confirmation that included a start time of 11am, but that has been updated for your wing-walking enjoyment. All tasting stations will close down at 3:30 pm so that restaurants can prepare for dinner service and we can tally the winners!
Do I have to visit the restaurants in the order listed?
Absolutely not! Explore Schenectady and visit each restaurant in any order you choose. Spicy to sweet? North to South? New-to-you restaurants before the tried-and-true? There is no wrong way to plan your Wing Walk! Pro tip: Be sure to take note of your favorite spots so you can visit again another day!
Do I get to vote for my favorite Wing?
Yes! We want you to! At the end of the event, we want you to submit your votes for *Most Creative*, *Best Sauce or Rub*, and your overall favorite wing for the *People’s Choice*.
What if I don’t go to every location? I want voting to be fair!
That is why we have official judges. The judges have a tough job to do, as they are required to taste ALL 24 CHICKEN WINGS! This is the only way to make sure that judging is fair and accurate. We appreciate your understanding if Judges need to cut the line in order to make it to every location to give every participant a fair shot. Don’t worry, there are only 3 judges, plus one tie-breaker Judge on call (all with official credentials), so they shouldn’t impact your fun!
Can I go back for seconds if I really love a wing?
You’re going to be very tempted to, but your ballot is only good for one chicken wing at each location. However, we have a record number of participating restaurants this year, so you have a chance to snag lots of different flavors of wings at all of the great restaurants in Downtown Schenectady! Trust us, 24 chicken wings is enough to fill your belly!
Where do I park for this event?
Great news, parking in Downtown Schenectady is always FREE on weekends! Please feel free to use street parking or park in any public lot, free of charge.
