2026 Downtown Schenectady Hometown Heroes Banner Program
The Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) with the City of Schenectady presents the twelth year of our popular Hometown Heroes Banner Program. This program proudly recognizes active duty and veteran service members, both living and deceased. Each banner honors a specific Schenectady service member and features their name, branch of service, and photo. Banners are displayed on street poles in Downtown Schenectady along State Street, State St. Ext. (from Veterans Park to Washington Avenue) and Clinton Street by the Central Library through Veterans Day in November.
