Starting Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., Nott Street between Erie Blvd. and Maxon Road in the City of Schenectady will be closed to all traffic.
ING Civil, Inc. of Watervliet, NY, will begin a total replacement of the CP Rail Bridge over Nott Street near Erie Blvd. The width of the underpass restricts the ability to have the road remain open and complete this work in a safe manner.
Nott Street westbound traffic will be detoured over Seward Place to Union Street, while Nott Street eastbound traffic will be detoured to both Union Street from Erie Blvd. and Maxon Road during the time of the closure.
Drivers are encouraged to follow the signed detours or consider alternate routes during this time period, as delays are expected.
Nott Street is expected to be reopened by January 31, 2017.
