Restaurant Receives the Most Votes During 5th Annual Event in Downtown Schenectady
SCHENECTADY, NY – December 9, 2019 – A total of 19 locations served up a mouthwatering selection of chili recipes during the 5th Annual Downtown Schenectady Chili Chowdown on Saturday, December 7 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Guests sampled chili at participating locations for $1 per cup and were encouraged to cast votes for their favorite chili flavor. After all ballots were counted following the event, the 2019 Chili Chowdown winner by popular vote was Mad Jack Brewing Co. at The Van Dyck for their Christmas Chili Infused with Christmas Ale & Topped with an Avocado Sour Cream.
Second place went to Taj Mahal Restaurant for their Chicken Chili. Third place went to Johnny’s Restaurant for their Thai Chicken Chili.
The 5th Annual Downtown Schenectady Chili Chowdown was presented by the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation in partnership with downtown restaurants.
