(INDIANAPOLIS, IN APRIL 5, 2022). Indianapolis based Schahet Hotels LLC, a hotel management and development company, is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2022. Since its first hotel opened, the Holiday Inn Downtown Indianapolis, IN, the company has continued its commitment of excellence to their guests and to their Company values.
Over the 60 years the organization has always been a family run company. When Sam Schahet, Founder, was asked why he went into the Hotel business, he would reply, “all people must eat, drink, sleep and breathe and I can accomplish three of these four things”.
Schahet Hotels, LLC has developed more than 25 hotels under the Marriott, IHG and Hilton brands. They have received numerous recognitions and awards over the years and most recently was named a “Top Place to Work” by the Indianapolis Star.
The biggest reason for its success is its associates. CEO, Jeffrey Brown commented, “We know if we take good care of our associates, they’ll take care of our guests. Through our RISE values and our investment in their personal and professional growth, today associates can be tomorrow’s leaders in hospitality and hotel management.” Many of their associates have excelled. It is reflected in those than have moved to leadership roles within the company and the number that have continued in their same roles for years.
Wherever a Schahet Hotel is located, a community effort is made through its program called S.H.O.P. (Schahet Hotels Outreach Program). Many volunteer hours and support of nonprofit organizations help make the organization more complete.
Schahet Hotels will be celebrating throughout the year. At its hotels a party takes place very 60 days with exciting events. It is planning 60 Acts of Kindness to continue it community support. Guests can also participate in celebrating and will have the chance to win 6,000 brand award points every 60 days, and 60,000 points in a drawing at the end of the year. The company has also created a vintage logo that reflects the 60’s to use throughout 2022.
Today, Schahet Hotels, LLC operates 10 hotels, under the Marriott, Hilton and IHG brands. It’s newest, which opened March 23, 2022, is the AC Hotel by Marriott, located in Chesterfield, MO (St. Louis). It has 3-4 hotels currently in the planning or development stage.
