GreenSheen Selects Schenectady County for New Facility

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority today announced that GreenSheen, a fast-growing paint recycling company based in Denver with operations in Phoenix and Kent, Washington has selected the Rotterdam Corporate Park in Schenectady County for a new paint recycling and manufacturing facility.

GreenSheen is working with NYS DEC to help implement a new paint recycling program. The company considered sites throughout New York State before selecting the Rotterdam Corporate Park to serve customers in the Northeastern United States.

The Metroplex Board of Directors will consider a $75,000 grant for the project at its next meeting on April 27. The company plans to lease over 40,000 square feet in Building 14 at the Rotterdam Corporate Park to serve as the company’s paint recycling and manufacturing center.

The Rotterdam Corporate Park is located where Route 7, I-88 and I-90 meet. The four million square foot facility is owned and managed by the Galesi Group. It is the largest business park in the Capital Region.

GreenSheen will create 25 new jobs in Rotterdam.
