Schenectady, N.Y., March 28, 2018 – The Galesi Group today announced that the company will move its corporate headquarters to Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, NY.
David Buicko, Galesi Group CEO said, “Our entire team has been deeply involved with making Mohawk Harbor a reality. We are proud to announce the move of our corporate headquarters to this new waterfront destination.”
The Galesi Group will occupy space at Two Harbor Center, a new mixed-use building with a total of more than 65,000 square feet of office and retail space. The office space features open floorplans, outdoor seating, and offices that feature plenty of natural light with both covered and surface parking. The company will bring 50 jobs to Mohawk Harbor.
Founded in 1969, the Galesi Group is one of the largest developers in Upstate New York with 11 million square feet of real estate in its portfolio.

In 2010, the company acquired a sixty-acre brownfield site located on the Mohawk River that had been largely vacant for forty years. That formerly vacant site has been transformed into a $480 million riverfront development that includes 1.4 million square feet of new construction including the Rivers Casino & Resort, two hotels, office space, apartments, townhomes, retail and marina in a green, sustainable and walkable development, one of the largest projects of its kind in the Northeastern United States.
“When we purchased the site on April 1, 2010, we had one of the largest waterfront properties in the region and a blank slate to work with. The vision was to create a mixed use urban community that would include residential, offices, retail and hotels.” said David Buicko.
The company’s existing office space at the Rotterdam Corporate Park will be utilized to handle an influx of new tenants at the business park. The Rotterdam facility contains 4 million square feet of space and is the largest business park in the Capital Region.
