Dining Diversity in the Spotlight During Schenectady Restaurant Week, February 26-March 4

February 22, 2018Jim Salengo

26 Schenectady County restaurants will offer fixed-price meals for $25

(Schenectady, NY, February 22, 2018) – Restaurants in Downtown Schenectady and nearby Schenectady County locations will be in the culinary spotlight during the 13th annual Schenectady Restaurant Week, taking place February 26-March 4, 2018. Throughout the week, 26 restaurants will offer special fixed-price menus for $25, featuring a widely varied selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Schenectady Restaurant Week is a joint promotion of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) and the Chamber of Schenectady County, an affiliate of the Capital Region Chamber. Promotional support is provided by Discover Schenectady.

Said Jim Salengo, Executive Director of the DSIC, “The list of participating restaurants and their creative menus reflect the great diversity of dining that today’s Schenectady has to offer. Schenectady Restaurant Week provides the perfect mid-winter motivation to try a restaurant for the first time or enjoy a night on the town at a longtime favorite.”

Said Mark Eagan, CEO of the Capital Region Chamber, “There is an impressive selection of participating restaurants for area residents to enjoy. In 2017, Schenectady Restaurant Week had an economic impact of approximately $391,700. We are confident there will be an even bigger impact this year and that people will visit other sites in Schenectady before or after their meals, such as Proctors, Rivers Casino and Viaport Rotterdam.”
