SCHENECTADY, NY – March 8, 2024 – Alchemy, a metaphysical shop focused on providing products, services, and education for wellness, celebrated its grand opening today in a new storefront at 17 S. Church Street during a ceremony hosted by the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC).
Alchemy is a retail shop that features crystals, incense, candles, herbal teas, art, bath products and more. Additionally, Alchemy offers services in reiki, meditation, sound healing, wellness education and educational workshops. Founders Kayla and Tara Caruso have curated a unique collection of items from their travels around the world that they are looking forward to introducing to the Schenectady community.
“We chose to embark on this new adventure because we wanted to give people a safe space to connect and help guide them through their journey,” said founders Kayla and Tara Caruso. “We feel Schenectady chose us. The energy has been so welcoming in Schenectady, that we felt called to open Alchemy here.”
“Alchemy’s focus on mind, body, and soul is a wonderfully balanced business model which is sure to help draw more visitors to Schenectady and serve the needs of the downtown community. This is a great location for a shop that offers these kinds of healing services, as well as unique wellness items and gifts.” said Maureen Neufeld, Executive Director of the DSIC.
Alchemy is currently open Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment, Thursday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 2pm. For more information, visit their Instagram at instagram.com/alchemy_wellness_shop/.
