Alltown Convenience Market Planned for Erie Boulevard in Schenectady

April 9, 2018Jim Salengo

Waltham, MA. April 9, 2018—Global Partners, LP, a Waltham, Mass company, has announced plans to develop a convenient market and fueling station on Erie Boulevard in Schenectady, NY.  Global plans to invest several million dollars to develop the location, part of its Alltown family of markets, at 1410 Erie Boulevard.

The market will provide a place for area residents to access everyday essentials including a full range of “better for you” food choices made-to-order on site, as well as Wi-Fi and comfortable indoor and outdoor dining space.   The site will also include a safe and convenient fueling area that will be well lit and easily accessible with six pumps.

“At each Alltown Market we strive to create a sense of community.” said Mark Romaine, Chief Operating Officer. “We are excited for the opportunity to contribute and become part of the revitalization that is taking place in Schenectady.”

Global Partners, a leading energy supplier in the Northeast, currently has more than 70 stores under its Alltown brand in New England, with approximately 1,500 locations in its portfolio.  The Schenectady site is the first of Global’s New York State locations to offer the Alltown fresh food market and design.  The new location will create jobs and tax revenues for the City of Schenectady.

Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy said, “We are pleased that the vacant Grossman’s site will be transformed by this investment that will continue the redevelopment of downtown Schenectady.  The new Alltown Market will be a boost to Erie Boulevard expanding upon recent investments at Mohawk Harbor and Rivers Casino & Resort. We thank Global Partners for investing in and becoming part of our community.”
