Thousands of guests are anticipated to attend the 7th Annual Schenectady Soup Stroll tomorrow, January 28, in Downtown Schenectady. A record 34 participants are offering a delicious variety of soup flavors for $1 per 3 oz. sample. No tickets are required. Guests can print out an online map listing locations and soup flavors and then stroll from location to location in any order they choose. Restaurants will also have copies of the map available.
The Soup Stroll map doubles as a ballot. After sampling at least 10 soups, guests can vote for their favorite at the bottom of the map and drop their ballot at one of five downtown locations (listed on the map) by 4:15 p.m. The top vote getter will be named Schenectady Soup Stroll Souperstar. A panel of guest judges will also rate soups in a variety of categories.
