Downtown Schenectady Hometown Heroes Banner Program 2022
The Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) and City of Schenectady have partnered for an eighth year on the popular Hometown Heroes Banner Program. This program proudly recognizes active duty and veteran service members, both living and deceased. Each banner honors a specific Schenectady service member and features his or her name, branch of service, and photo. Banners are being displayed on street lamps in Downtown Schenectady along State Street (from Veterans Park to Washington Avenue) and around Schenectady City Hall until Veterans Day in November.
